The 2020 Dutch Allround Championship was held last weekend in Heerenveen and favorites Patrick Roest and Antoinette de Jong took the titles.

Consistency paid off for de Jong

While she won only one of the four distances, it was Antoinette de Jong's consistency that propelled her to her third allround title in career. Finishing second in the 500m and 3000m, third in the 5000m and first in the 1500m, the 25-year-old secured first place in the overall classification ahead of Melissa Wijfe, winner of the 3000m and Reina Anema, winner of the 5000m.

Roest almost perfect

Twenty-four-year-old prodigy Patrick Roest was once again dominant last weekend in Heerenveen. The Dutchman, who is already having a lot of success on the international scene, won three of the four men's distances of the championship to secure the title of Allround Champion of the Netherlands. The only distance he didn't win was the 10,000m where he finished 0.09 seconds behind Marwin Talsma in a spectacular finish. (video below) In the overall classification, Marcel Bosker took second place and Talsma third thanks to his incredible 10 000m performance.
