Youth Olympic Games: Great fights to come

Inline speed skating will be an official sport at the Youth Olympic games for the first time this weekend in Buenos Aires.

Twelve men and twelve women qualified for this competition with their results in the junior category at the 2018 World Championships in Heerde. The Inline Speed Skating competition of the 2018 Youth Olympic Games will be on Sunday October 7th and Monday October 8th. The skaters will compete on 1000m, 5000m elimination and 500m to crown an overall champion.

A couple of stars from this year’s World and European Championships will battle each other to win this youth olympic champion title. We’ll have the chance to see multiple World Champion Gabriela Rueda Rueda from Colombia and France’s Honorine Barrault who recently collected good results at the European Championships both in the sprint and long distances. In the men’s races, skaters like Jhonny Angulo, Ewen Foussadier, Merijn Scheperkamp, Vincenzo Maiorca and Ivan Galar will fight hard to win this competition.
