The 2019 Pan American Games came to an end with Colombian victories on Saturday in Lima.

The best inline speed skaters in the Americas competed on 300m TT, 500m and the 10 000m elimination race in Lima during the 2019 Pan American games.
Moya and Causil 300m TT champions
Chilean skater Maria Moya Sepulveda won the 300m Time-Trial with a time of 26.441. Missing the Pan American title by 0.186 seconds was Colombian Geiny Pajaro who’s the reigning 200m TT world champion. Guatemala’s Dalia Soberanis took a bronze medal for her country recording a time of 26.800 seconds.
In the men’s competition, Colombian skating legend Pedro Causil won the Pan American champion title in 24.701. Venezuelan Jhoan Guzman and Jorge Luis Martinez, who were respectively 0.019 and 0.076 slower than him, got silver and bronze.
Pajaro wins it on 500m, another one for Causil
After finishing second on 300m, Geiny Pajaro from Colombia won the 500m title. She was closely followed by Dalia Soberanis from Guatemala who got her second medal of the Games. Veronica Elias from Mexico took the bronze medal.
Colombian Pedro Causil made it two Pan American titles out of two races winning the 500m final in front of Mexican Jorge Luis Martinez and Venezuelan Jhoan Guzman who were both also medalists in the 300m.
Viveros and Cujavante ends the Games at the top
The speed skating events of the Pan American games ended with a longer distance, the 10 000m elimination race. Colombian were once again at the top with strong wins by world champions Jhoana Viveros and Alex Cujavante. Chilean Javiera Pendavis and American Kelsey Helman completed the ladies’ podium while it was Hugo Ramirez Boada from Chile and Jorge Bolanos from Ecuador who finished second and third in the men’s race.
