Canadian junior short track championships
Last weekend, the George-Vézina center in Saguenay was hosting the Canadian junior short track championships. Courtney Sarault and Adrian Rudy were crowned canadian junior champions and will lead the canadian junior team at the World junior championships. Alyson Charles (pictured), Danaé Blais and Claudia Gagnon will join Sarault on the women’s team. Marco Schumann, Vincent Girard and Alexis Marceau will complete the men’s team. The World junior championships will be held in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland from the 2nd to the 4th of march 2018.

Dutch junior long track championships
The Netherlands had their junior national championships during the weekend. Jutta Leerdam continued her great season with victories in the two 500m events and the two 1000m events. Femke Beuling finished second in all those races. Daan Baks was the most consistent for the men. He won the overall sprint ranking. Sterre Jonkers was the fastest in the ladies' long distances and won both the 3000m and the 5000m. In the men's competition, Louis Hollar and Max Visscher respectively won the 3000m and the 5000m.

Kpn Marathon cup #8
It was the 8th leg of the Kpn Marathon cup in Den Haag this weekend. The Italian star Francesca Lollobrigida escaped the pack with half a lap to go to win the ladies' race. Manon Kamminga and Iris van der Stelt finished second and third. Bart de Vries finished in first place in the men’s race. Marcel van Ham and Johan Knol completed the podium. Crispijn Ariëns and Iris van der Stelt kept their first place in the overall season ranking after this event.
