The last World cup event before the Olympic games has come to an end today in Erfurt.

Men's 500m
Havard Lorentzen from Norway won the men's second 500m of the competition finishing ahead of Jan Smeekens from the Netherlands and Alex Boisvert-Lacroix from Canada. Michel Mulder finished fourth, one hundredth of a second behind Boisvert-Lacroix.
Ladies' 1000m
Vanessa Herzog continued her great competition with a victory in the 1000m. Hege Bokko and Yekaterina Shikhova completed the podium.
Men's 1000m
The Dutch Kjeld Nuis won the 1000m men's race. Norwegian Havard Lorentzen won his second medal of the day finishing second. Russia's Denis Yuskov finished in third position.
Ladies' 3000m
Canadian star Ivanie Blondin won the longest distance of the weekend in front of Antoinette de Jong from the Netherlands and Martina Sablikova from Czech Republic. It's Blondin first ever Gold medal in a classic distance in a World cup. Blondin is at the top of the overall classification in the long distances.
