A hard fall that ended up in the mattresses after a clash with Sasha Fathoullin in the semis of the third 1500m of the competition, forces François Hamelin to withdraw from the last day of competition of the selection process to determine who will represent Canada in the World cup circuit this fall and at the next Olympic games in Pyeongchang next winter.
Hamelin who has been battling hard to get one of the spots available will have to wait for the selection commity to decide if he gets the discretionary ticket available for the games.
