Road to World Championships: Team Belgium

Oftentimes, quality surpasses quantity and the Belgian team that will compete at the World Championships is a good example of that.

With undisputed stars of the sport like Bart Swings and Sandrine Tas, it's pretty fair to say that Belgium will grab their share of medals in this important competition even if they're not the biggest nation. After a couple of years skipping the World Championships, Bart Swings is back and has already collected great results in the Europa cups and some marathons this season. After focusing on the Olympics last year, will he be back on the podium at World Championships in 2018? Indra Médard, Tim Sibiet and Mathias Vosté will complete the men’s team. Don’t forget the young Jason Suttels in the Junior category who could get great results as was really impressive at the 2017 European championships skating by himself against stong Italian and French teams.  

Well known skaters on the European circuit such as Anke Vos, Stien Vanhoutte and Nymphe Keuleers will join World Championships multi-medalist Sandrine Tas in this strong ladies’ team.
