Led by world champions like Patxi Peula and Ioseba Fernandez in the men’s category and a strong trio of ladies composed of Sheila Posada, Maite Ancin and Maialen Oñate, Spain will be well represented in Heerde.
You’ll have to keep an eye on Patxi Peula in the elimination races and points races but also in the marathon as he finished first in the World Inline Cup ranking last season and stepped on the podium in the 2017 World Championships marathon. He’s one of the best long distance skater in the world.
In the sprint distances, world record holder, European, World championships and World games champion Ioseba Fernandez will try to show everyone he is the best sprinter in the world. Fernandez and Peula are probably Spain's biggest medal hope but it’s a pretty strong team that could bring a few surprises!
