Argentina’s Ken Kuwada won the 2018 edition of the Athens to Atlanta Road Skate last weekend in the United States.

After two great victories on American soil with his Nortshore Marathon and New York 100k wins, MPC skater Ken Kuwada took another victory with his title in the legendary Athens to Atlanta 87 miles (140 km). A four men breakaway composed of Kuwada, Francisco Ramirez, Jérôme Comtois-Urbain and Eddy Matzger managed to get to the line in 4h36 minutes. Kuwada edged everybody in the sprint while Ramirez and Canadian Comtois-Urbain finished second and third.
The first women to finish the 87 miles race was Vanessa Ayala from the United States who crossed the line with a time of 4:57:51. Jessica Wright finished second with a time of 5:27:39 while Sandra Spirovska took the third position in 5:43:30.
A total of 40 skaters from 17 to 59 years of age completed this year's 87 miles race!
