Sweden's Nils van der Poel is the 10 000m Olympic champion.

Nils van der Poel added another title to his already legendary career today on 10 000m. Thanks to his dominant performance today, the 5000m Olympic champion is now also gold medalist in the prestigious 10 0000m event. In addition to his gold medal, van der Poel crossed the finish line with a time of 12:30.74. This impressive time allowed him to lower the Olympic record and his own world record on the distance.
Dutchman Patrick Roest took another silver medal behind van der Poel with a time of 13:44.59, while Italy's Davide Ghiotto finished third with a time of 12.45.98. Pyeongchang 2018 champion on 10 000m Ted-Jan Bloemen finished 8th.
The men's 500m is on the menu tomorrow in Beijing.
